okay cool. As for team 1 strategy, I'm happy to race for a couple of hours straight if necessary. If anything that would be best so my roommates aren't hogging the internet.

Hi Natalino, welcome!
I'm the guy who offered you the seat, nice to see you here Wink

Speaking about the event, what Quali time do you guys think is needed to meet the "top 60" to be able to race?
I think we should aim to a 2.05:XXX, the lower the better.
What are you running at the moment?

From what I can see, pole will be a 2:03.9 (maybe, might not be). Fastest will be 2:04's but I think if we got at least into mid to low 2:05's, we'd be doing quite well Smile

Natalino you will be racing in the team II (we have two teams running in the MoE).

They just take the best Qualy time of each team, so there is no need for everyone to qualify.
I'm not sure but we have to share the same setups in both Q and race, and we are still working on them.

This is just a quick draft of what I've come up with. We can change it to 1 hour stints. I just checked and the original plan I had will be difficult to work with as the fuel lasts 65 minutes so working with that would be a bit of a maths pain.

I have a bit of a problem, I can't download the RUF track (so I can't join the prac sessions). It says 'verification failure' when I try to download it?

Also is there a forum post or anything for MOE series on the iracing forums? Just to check it out

There is something broken about downloading the RUF's. Check out the forums, I believe Jasper Groeneweg had a alternative download for it. PM him and check it out.

Sounds good to me, I'm happy to drive as long as necessary though. I'm not as inconsistent as that okayama race would make me seem :p

Would I have to sign up and join the session before the race started, then go to sleep, wake up and race?

Ah ok, not as fast as I was expecting Smile now, I'm not fully sure, but I might not be available for the first or second stints. I will know more by Thursday so maybe Someone can fill in for me.

Also, I'm not sure about all having to join the session at once. I don't think that would have to be the case. I will look into it Smile

haha yeah I figured out where the passwords were. Can anyone send me the setup they've been using to practice? I did 6 or 7 laps then and got into the 5's, setup didn't feel very nice though.

Yesterday I saw Julian R. Moreno (one of the fastest guys over iRacing) doing a 2.03:700 affraid

And I think a lot of teams will fall into 03s.....so I hope that a mid 2:05 will be enough.

BTW, you don't need to join the sessions as it starts, you can join whenever you want before your stint (that's what I've understood from the forums)

are you guys practicing with the weight penalty on? I'm around a 5.2 at the moment with the weight penalty. I think I could get into the 4s with more practice

yep, I am using the correct weather. Although I did try it with the default weather once and I was actually around 1.5 seconds slower on the default weather.
