Re: Round 2: Suzuka GP
Ok guys, lets try and get started on setups ASAP. If we get them sorted out soon, we will be much better prepared.

I'm going to do some laps now. Wouldn't mind if Riley or someone else can come on teamspeak and give me some tips on how to setup the car

Re: Round 2: Suzuka GP
It's difficult to come up with a good setup without knowing the weather.
Honestly I don't know when it'll be announced.
Anyway I think it's a nice idea to start practising as soon as possibile to learn the track

The weather should be announced around next Friday / Saturday.
Re: Round 2: Suzuka GP
I reckon if we all just practice heaps then we can do really well. The only reason I didn't crash at road america is because I did like forty thousand laps in practice. Also we defs need to get some practice races going to work out the pit stops (and engine dying). Although the pit stop was probably just me being a retard.

Did a couple of laps with the baseline setup full fuel and got a 2:01.6. Im finding that the baseline setup is pretty balance and can be pushed easily

Re: Round 2: Suzuka GP
After seeing yesterday's laptimes, I would say that the fastest guys will be in the mid-low 58s in quali (Maybe Bonito will reach the 57s).
I've to turn a lap yet though.

Re: Round 2: Suzuka GP
I started working on a race setup, by now I'm on a 1:59.800 PB (in the first laps) and a 2:00.XXX pace.
I'm wondering what tire pressure is good in this build.
In the last build I've always tried to keep the tire temps below 100°C (212° F) and pressure below 200Kpa (29psi), because at higher temps the tires started to lose grip.
Now it seems impossible to keep the temps below 110°C even after just 2-3 laps.
What do you guys think?

The Z4 usually only runs PSI between 22 and 24 I thought.
Re: Round 2: Suzuka GP
Ok guys, after seeing a bit more of practice sessions I think that the Qualify cut-off will be in the mid-low 58s.
As of now my PB is 1:58.8, whit an optimal of 1:58.4.
The most important thing is to nail the perfect lap, which isn't simple in a long circuit like Suzuka.

If someone posts a setup then I'll have a go. Oscar's setup for road america felt awful on this track so I just quit straight away haha

What are you guys thinking for the stints? If it is 1000km then that'll be 5-6 hours wont it? As usual I'm happy to drive as long as you guys want and honestly I would love to start the race again!

Of course we want you to drive!
After your incredible first part of the race at RA, I think you should start again at Suzuka.
We're eager to hear your laptimes
Edit: Yeah the race will be roughly 6 hours

Maybe we can organize it so you and Dario start the two cars. That would be pretty cool
