longer races there is more room for error and correction and higher chances your opponents will make mistakes that allow you some room to breath so you go in knowing the intensity isnt the same as a 15 lap race where every lap and every curve count and one mistake will cost you the race

I've had this idea floating in my head for the past few days. Basically, I'd like to see if we could set-up and host an event/race.

Apex Racing had a massive 2.4 Hours of Spa hosted by the Apex Racing Pro Team for fundraising for charity. I was thinking we could do the same but instead of charity we ask for a minimal entry fee. This would fundraise the team for a New Website/Domain, More Publicity, etc.

It might sound a little selfish that it's not for charity but what do you guys think?

If you can tame the v8 supercar then it might be a good choice. The Star Mazda is good for if you want to drive the FW31 but with the new damage model, the car isn't as good (last time i heard). The ruf cup would be good choice because it is popular (i think). I haven't driven the radical or a car in the Sport cars series so i don't know what they are like personally

Brendan when you say "The Star Mazda is good for if you want to drive the FW31 but with the new damage model, the car isn't as good (last time i heard)." What do you mean by that?

What i meant is that the Star Mazda when i drove it last season was a good car to drive especially if you wanted to eventually drive the FW31 . It may still be however a lot of people aren't liking it now since the new damage model came out (or at least since i last drove it in week 1 this season).

That, and the fact that the thing handles so freaking poorly on NTMv4 compared to any other car on the that Tyre Model Version.

Ok so once Sebring has passed I am going to get back on iRacing heavy and my goal racing is in F1 and Prototypes and I have always been told to go from the Skippy (that i'm in now) to the Star Mazda. So my question is now what should be the path to F1

Skippy is good, very good for balance technique and produces great racing. As of right now, the SM sucks because the Tyre Model makes the car feel like it's floating above the ground and the damage model, as Brendan said, is really crap. They probably won't update it until the next build (around 4 weeks). So you'll be waiting to see if they put NTMv5 on it then.

As for now, just keep racing the skippy. You can worry about what's next once you're up to speed in that. Smile
