TORA TASCAR Season 3 - Discussion

TASCAR is Saturday night/afternoon, ISCC is Sunday night/afternoon. TASCAR meetings this year start @ 9:30pm BST (4:30pm EDT), and the ISCC on Sunday's start with Q3 qualifying at 7pm BST, and the race at 8pm

Think he means the Audi cup? or no...

Tried xpr venom's tune for Road America (claims a 2:05.9), and had a chance at a 2:06.1, but dirtied it at the 2nd to last lap, so personal best so far is a 2:06.3.

qualified 5th. finished 5th chasing down II Alex P II. ran a time of 2:05.694 personal best with a 15-minute tune, but qualified with a 2:06.341

brief testing at Sedona Oval, and a 29.9 best so far, and race day is here. i have a little under 11hrs until lobby opens, so i have time to still sort things out. lol. no downforce=not very wise. currently, my setup is at max downforce, this way i can point the car any which way i please into turn 2, and make it out without hitting the wall. will try adjusting the downforce down bit by bit

Full downforce will make for an agile car in clean air, but it will be heavily affected by the draft in the corners. Something to think about as this may make for a very tricky car in close battling.

im considering bringing it down to the Default numbers to see how agile it remains. as i stated, i tried using the minimum downforce setup (basically took my Road America tune, and adjusted the cambers for the oval banking) and it wasn't responding like the max downforce setup i have currently. i'll be online later to test things out.

Qualified 10th with a 30.326, but in practice, my best was a 29.889. a little too hot on the 2nd flying lap in qually, and met the turn 2 wall, so i was stuck with my first Flying lap. Pole time was decided by 0.002 seconds, BG Checo ahead of CRA Adder (29.820 to a 29.822)

Both 'halves' of the Race, i managed to finish 5th (2nd half the one that counts). So, for now, a 3rd, and 2 5th place finishes to start off the season. at the moment the Google Docs formulas are broke so the Drivers' and Teams' Standings tab is incorrect, or in the case of the Drivers' Standings tab, Round 2 & 3 did not auto-fill. will be messaging the staff member who helped out to get his arse on the Doc to fix it. (asked to get it looked at since the end of Meeting 1 when i saw the Teams' Standings tab wasn't right)

Going to grab a group picture of the LMR cars. need to see if i can get Martin's livery gifted over, as i have Frazer's since i created his.

Last night, I recreated the 1998 Mark Martin Eagle One livery he ran in the all-star race. Will run that at the 2nd Sunset Oval race & Le Mans race (ran a locked version there in the 2011season)

My Mark Martin Eagle One livery I made last night. Changed the wheel color to red after I took the pic cuz I thought the black wheels looked wrong and double checked the pic I was using as reference.

not much change to Road America's tune, i hit a 1:15.091..... few minor changes to camber, final drive and brake pressure, i just hit a 1:14.139

Anyone want to help tune for the Le Mans TASCAR race? I've got a base tune thus far capable of a 3:35, but think there could be more in it. Kinda hard to find the desired breaking point when you're going 223mph heading towards Mulsanne Corner.

This goes out to Frazer and Martin. Are you guys going to appear in a TASCAR race this season? kinda hard to rack up Teams Points with just one driver.

Next race is the 24th at Benchmark "C"

How's the car feeling Mark? If you'd like we can do some more testing this week

I'm on the cusp of breaking the 34's at Benchmark C, but its out of reach atm
