Re: MSA TORA ISCC General Discussion
I.
Am.
STRUGGLING.
in LMPC.
.....I knew my tuning skills stopped at prototypes, but did not expect it to be this bad. now, i understood that these types of race cars are aero-grip compared to the GT's Mechanical grip characteristics, but i lost considerable amount of time taking off just 1/2 the default downforce, trying to get more speed out of the thing. I've adjusted what i know could help (tire pressures, upped the final drive 5 clicks, camber's, brake pressure, diff settings) and i havent picked up any time on the track.
Best time in default tune out of the Oreca at Sebring: 1:54.570
After 15 laps trying to tune the thing: 1:54.572!!!

I have the TEC-Sebring corvette tune if you want it. Obviously have to remove tire widths for the iscc pi, but it should be a good starting point

Re: MSA TORA ISCC General Discussion
got it, thanks Collin. NATCC ran longer than expected tonight. Suzuka Full in the NATCC nets average of 2:14 laps, 11 laps x 3 races (1 parade lap per race), lobby issues after race 2, you do the math.

Re: MSA TORA ISCC General Discussion
Chris, what car do you want to run then?
Im worried about the vette, Yes were good in it but whats the point being good in a slower car though?
We need something quick out of the corners thats good after tiny errors. Vette needs to be perfect to get near top speed. Its only good point. Apart from the paints :p
Rice built the tec vette and recommends against it in its current form.
Discuss over pie?

Re: MSA TORA ISCC General Discussion
For me, it has to be Ford, purely because we've done our best in the Vette, and we have seen for ourselves how much handicap it has on, at Sebring it was barely capable, but still fast.
LeMans was going to be its strong-point, and it was taken away, so for me, I would have to put my hand up and vote a change to the Ford mate.
Shame to see the Chevy monster go, but for a long-running series with so many decent drivers within lengths of eachother, we will need all the help we can get, and having a car that is behind the pack even slightly? Will put us back a bit

Im for the ford too.
Paint transfer will be simple enough i should imagine.
Tune we can beg for
Need Nickmoo to confirm and the blessing of Mark and we can get on it
They may have taken our vette but they cant take our american muscle :p

Re: MSA TORA ISCC General Discussion
Yes they can, if we don't get our first or second choice, that's all the American V8's gone lol.
And i'd be damned if im driving a squealy fat Viper for months on end.

Re: MSA TORA ISCC General Discussion
msg nick about the consideration on switching cars. as for the livery, i do no think the Overalls would fit well on the Ford GT mk7, but can try it out tomorrow after work. If not, i have a 'vintage' Gulf livery for the Ford that can be used.
