TORA TASCAR Season 4 - Discussion

if you want Collin. the tune you sent me last year, felt far too oversteer on corner exit this year, though the car builds never changed. perhaps my driving style did.
off the top of my head though, i didnt touch the final drive or camber settings. lowered the front ride height to 8.0 even, lowered the rear springs to about 250lbs, and moved the bump/rebound (the first one on top) to 8.0 front and something like 5.0-5.5 on the rear. this helped me alot for corner exit

James & Brandon, i'll try to get online tomorrow for practice before the race. helpin' my father paint the new staircase leading to my apartment 2morrow morning. (good thing there's a secondary set of stairs to use while these dry)

3:34.499 with my tune w/o any further tweaks from the other day!! Definitely looking forward to this afternoon

Just did a 3:33.5 with adjustments to the brakes from Marks tune

3:33.7 just now and i adjusted the brakes as well.

Yay wicked race tonight won my first race and got a surprisingly fast lap of a 3:33.2.

will post in the achievement section in a minute Collin, it was an "LMR" Hat Trick. I took pole from James by 0.016 and he got fast lap and win.

we gain 2 points in the Teams' Standings, and now 31pts away from XPR.
i finished ahead of Rob, and Cain finished ahead of me.... going into today's race, the top 3 were separated by 4 points each. now we're separated by 3 points each. Mathematically, if Cain wins the next 3 races, i finish 2nd and Rob finishes 3rd in the next three races, it'd actually be a 3-way tie for the Title going into the final round.

I still cant believe I managed that 3:33.2 in the race without a slipstream like I was stoked. But good job Mark for gaining positions after a rocky start today.

yeah James. i pushed my car to its limits i think. even though i was counting us down, i was slow on the throttle. dropped down to 6th by the time i was on the 4-mile mulsanne. and once i got open air around me, i got in my rhythm, and slowly started picking up the spots i lost. first was Chad, then AAR ABE/WolfPack and Rob (Soundwave) as they made the slightest of contact when rob nicked the twinkies at Terte Rouge. ABE/WalfPack got the worst of that end, but i snuck through the two of them. then set my sights on you and Cain. and leading up to the pits, i watched the "Gap Ahead" at the start of each lap, and saw i was closing. by lap 9, my tires were giving up, and i waited til lap 10 when you pitted James, and from there, i was easily in the 33's, but the last 2 laps, my tires were roasted already, and was no longer catching up to Cain. i tried.

On to "The Brickyard" next weekend

I need reserve for Indy.   

anyone else good at tuning on ovals?? im stuck at the mid-48's at Indy, same as i was last year, and even w/ Damage on Cosmetic, i got lapped by Chaddy (took the min downforce approach last year and went with full downforce) and he was running 48.0's in qually, and possibly a little quicker in the race...


Also, Brandon here needs a sub driver for Indy..

with the finishes between myself, Cain and Rob, we're separated by 2 points each now with 3 rounds to go. Next up, Silverstone National. Next time i'm on James and Brandon, i'll definitely get you guys the tune Chris and I used last year that netted identical Qually times for P1.

That race was surprising after struggling too much in qually and the stints and managed to get 5th lol what a miracle ending  

and as a TASCAR rookie James, being only 11 points from the lead in the Drivers' Standings, thats some good work!! i'll post up in the media team section to see if anyone would be up to possibly stream the remaining races, since the points are so close!

All TASCAR races are on Saturdays, but yes this upcoming Saturday is the next race

with the shake-up with the results at Indy, and the pit-lane entry line shpeal, the points are even tighter than once thought!! James is only 9 points out of the lead, Cain and I are tied, just 2 points out of the lead.

55.886 so far with Mark's tune. Will probably end up with a low 56 in qualifying.
