TORA TASCAR Season 4 - Discussion

Yep. i'm starting to get things squared away early so i can get the next season underway.

Defo sticking to FM4 for TASCAR as there is a serious lack of anything viable on FM5. But, i am going to change out the Suzuka East round with another track. but i don't know which. i've narrowed it down to:

Laguna Seca
Maple Valley Full
Sunset Infield Full Reverse**
Hockenheim GP
Sedona Club

If i choose Sunset Infield, the 2nd Oval race there would be replaced with it, which will mean i'd have to find which oval track to 'double-up' on. i want to keep the even number of Oval-to-Road Course tracks.


as for my livery(liveries) for Season 4, i'm going to run the Greg Biffle #60 Grainger livery from the 2002 'Busch Series" season, but obv change it from #60 to #6. :)and i'll alternate between that and the Sapporo version of that livery which i used in the Season 3 Finale at Motegi.

i'll also be working on jgroves 'alternate' livery as well to his GoDaddy car. Chris, is there any idea as to what you want to run? i could use the time to brainstorm ideas, unless you want to run a replica.

ill be up to running this as I saw how close and fun this was to watch in the last season

And I plan on running paints from the #30 Nationwide car (although I'm rather neutral with Piquet).

here's my liveries:

Laguna would be my selection, although Hockenheim would be AWESOME, tight corners, mid straights, downside is the run-off, with the cars being so wide, likely someone will use it to their advantage.

- Sure, it's the exact size of Bristol Motor Speedway, but the elevation changes on the back-straight throws things off, cuz i know a bunch of my cars get a bit nose-airborne at the crest of the hill

- Chris, still up to team-up again for next season? Groves is still in as the 3rd driver.

Depends on time and day of week dude, but if I do race, sure!

most likely going to be the same as last season Chris, 9:30pm BST on Saturday(s). though, jgroves has thought of a 'Sub-series' and dubbing it "Euro TASCAR". basically to be around the Euro track venues quite similar to the 'Euro NASCAR' series (i guess; not too familiar with it), and using the Default builds to the 'Stock Cars'

if you do want the seat Chris, what type of "Primary Sponsor" would you like on your ride? i can try to "hwip" something up in accordance, if i have the logo for it

If Chris can't, I'll run with you if you want Mark.

My vote would be Laguna Seca. Its been a while, but the NASCAR Winston West Series did go there...

I was wondering: with FM5/XB1's release shattering the TORA community into different games and consoles, what about using NASCAR:Inside Line for a TASCAR series?

It would have all the real NASCAR circuits and cars, but not having played it yet I know little else about it, i.e. livery editor or physics or tuning...

The NASCAR games are horrid. It's best to stay on Forza.

i did think about that Mikey, but if it worked to what we normally use, it would have to be on the PS3, as it isn't region locked, and NASCAR The Game:Inside Line is, as best to my knowledge released only in the US.

And it sucks.

I like Mark's idea, it worked last time and is brilliant fun, changing anything major or running something similar would just take away its unique identity.

That's my opinion anyway.

got a 99.99% replica of Jeff Gordon's DUPONT livery from a couple years ago.

(the last 0.01% is the TASCAR logo instead of the Sprint Cup Series logo)
This livery was initially intended for iZ Gundam for the 2012 season, but he never used it.. so it was lying around in my FM4 garage, w/o a number on it, and remembered you are currently the holder of TORA Race Number 24
