Well since I'm guessing everyone likes going to the cinema or watching movies at home I thought we should start a thread on what movies you've seen recently or ones that you're excited for!

I recently saw the new remake of "Carrie". If you're not familiar it's basically about a bullied teenage girl who discovers she has telekinesis. She is also shunned from her social life by her God-Fearing mother. After being asked to prom a prank turns into a horror bloodbath. I went on Friday and went again yesterday. Usually I'm not a huge fan of horror but this film is awesome!  



So what have you seen recently or are planning to go watch?

Wouldn't mind seeing this. And Lone Survivor looks good as well!

Its a really good movie to watch. Like the '76 version, it starts off slow and doesn't get action packed until up to maybe 50-60 minutes in. Although in the that first hour the build up isn't bad it's sort of like a normal drama and then turns exciting. I saw this 2013 version first and then watched the 1976 version which was good but with todays Computer Graphics effects classic movies just don't seem half as real and the soundtrack and background score is much more immersing.

I like the look of Lone Survivor although I'm not specifically interested in War based movies since nearly all the ones I've seen feel the same. Couldn't hurt to give it a try though

Yeah it's really well done with a great back story.

he also likes long walks on the beach and occasional candle lite dinners, given that they will obviously end with him being able to crash something into some wall somewhere

Rush was very good, great story and great atmosphere. One of 2013's greatest

Yeah it was great. I'm normally not fond of car movies that are more about the characters rather than actual racing footage, but this one I loved.

Almost forgot, an Assassin's Creed movie is in production and is scheduled for 2015. Michael Fassbender (who's Irish  ) Has confirmed to be either directing and or playing the lead role. Its yet to be announced as to which of Ezio, Altaír or Connor will be the main protagonist but that sounds awesome!

Need For Speed movie in March 2014. Yes it looks like a Fast & Furious rip-off, yes it looks cheesy and if you're saying "Of course every guy with a McLaren P1 just happens to be a street racer and barrel rolls one of them and theres only 275 being made?!" You're not the only one but it's got Jesse Pinkman. That might be a factor to maybe go see it.... right?  




+ It's got Muse in the trailer so I think Frazer has already pre-ordered his ticket
