Tuning Advice? Empty Tuning Advice?

Post by Dude Thu Oct 16, 2014 4:44 pm

I've got a fairly good R1 setup right now, reaching the top 100 in verified lap times on the leaderboards on a few tracks with my Mercedes C9, but I've noticed a few things about other peoples' (mostly LMR members) Mercedes from watching their replays, mainly the engine noise; the turbo is way louder- it almost makes the car sound more like a 962 than a C9 and seems to give a bit more power...

I've been screwing around with the gearing with some success, but I haven't been able to come near to what you guys have achieved with the turbo, so I figured someone might be able to help me out?

I really have no clue what you're talking about to be fair lmao. We don't tend to run Forza rated classes.

Quite a few people on the Forza 4 leaderboards have managed to achieve the louder turbo for the C9, but I can't figure it out and I thought someone here might know since a couple of these tuning setups belonged to LMR members.

If you still don't know what I'm referring to, check out the fastest lap times for the C9 on any track and you'll hear what I'm talking about.

Here's the real sound of the C9: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQVWvNIzVSc

You can clearly hear the turbo, especially at low RPM. I'm a huge fan of Group C/GTP, and the crappy sound of the C9 in Forza kind of ruins it for me- the turbo is pretty much silent by default.
